Terms
Terms of use
Last updated: 12 October 2026
These terms are an agreement between you and Red Line Security Limited (company number 15419410, registered in England and Wales, Regent88, 210 Church Road, Leyton, London E10 7JQ), “we” below. They cover this website, mathfinch.com, the Mathfinch app in a web browser, and the Mathfinch apps for iPhone, iPad and Android. By using Mathfinch you agree to them. If a child is using Mathfinch, a parent or carer should read these terms and agree to them for the child.
Using Mathfinch
You may use Mathfinch for personal, family and educational use, including in a classroom or with a tutor. Please don’t copy, sell or republish the app or its lessons, try to get round how it works, or use the website in a way that harms it or other people, such as overloading it or scraping it automatically.
The lessons
Mathfinch is a learning aid. It isn’t a replacement for a teacher and doesn’t guarantee any exam result. The lessons follow the national curriculum for England and pass automated maths checks, but they haven’t yet been checked by a qualified teacher, and the app says so. Some questions may contain mistakes; if you find one, please report it from the app or email us, and we’ll fix it.
Your progress
Progress is saved only on the device you use. We don’t hold a copy and can’t recover it. If the app is deleted, the browser’s data is cleared or the device is lost, the progress goes with it, so save a progress file from the grown-ups area if you want a backup.
Ownership
Mathfinch, its lessons, questions, pictures and the Mathfinch name and finch logo belong to us. Links to official curriculum documents go to their publishers, whose own terms apply.
Changes and availability
We may update Mathfinch, add or change lessons, or change these terms. If we change these terms in a way that matters, we’ll update the date above. We try to keep Mathfinch available but can’t promise it will always be, or that it will be free of errors.
Our responsibility to you
If you live in the UK, you have legal rights as a consumer, and nothing in these terms affects them. Nothing in these terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else the law doesn’t allow us to limit. Otherwise, we aren’t responsible for losses that weren’t foreseeable, or for business losses, since Mathfinch is for personal and educational use.
Apps from the App Store
If you downloaded Mathfinch from Apple’s App Store, your licence to use it is also governed by Apple’s Licensed Application End User License Agreement (the standard EULA). These terms are between you and us, not Apple. Apple has no obligation to provide maintenance or support for the app, and is not responsible for any claims relating to it, including product liability claims, claims that it fails to meet legal or regulatory requirements, consumer protection claims, or claims that it infringes someone else’s rights; those are our responsibility to the extent these terms and the law say. Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these terms and may enforce them against you.
Apps from Google Play
If you downloaded Mathfinch from Google Play, Google Play’s terms of service also apply to the download. These terms are between you and us, not Google.
Privacy
Mathfinch collects no personal data. Our privacy policy explains the details.
The law
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. You can bring proceedings in the courts of England and Wales, or, if you live in Scotland or Northern Ireland, in your local courts.
