Questions and answers

Can’t find what you need? Email hello@redlinesecurity.net and we’ll get back to you.

Does it cost anything?

No. The website and the app in your browser are free, with no adverts and no in-app purchases.

Do I need an account?

No. There is no sign-up or sign-in. Each learner picks a nickname, and progress is saved on the device.

Where is my child’s progress saved?

In the web browser on the device you used. We never receive it. Clearing the browser’s data for this site, or using a private window, removes it, so save a progress file from the grown-ups area as a backup.

Can we use it on more than one device?

Yes, but progress doesn’t sync by itself. Save a progress file in the grown-ups area on one device and load it on the other.

Does it work offline?

Yes. Once the app has opened in your browser, it keeps working without a connection. On a phone or tablet, add it to your home screen for the best experience.

“Read to me” isn’t speaking.

Read to me is for Years 1 and 2. It uses your device’s own voices, so check the volume and, on an iPhone or iPad, that the device isn’t muted. Some browsers have no English voice installed; the words always stay on screen.

I think a question is wrong.

Thank you for telling us. Under the question, choose Report a problem with this question. Then, in the grown-ups area, save a question-report file and email it to hello@redlinesecurity.net. Or just email us the lesson name and what you saw.

Have teachers checked the lessons?

Not yet. Every lesson follows the national curriculum for England and passes automated maths checks, but none has yet been checked by a qualified teacher, and the app says so.

How do I delete everything?

In the grown-ups area, choose Delete everything. Or clear this site’s data in your browser settings.

When are the phone apps coming?

Mathfinch for iPhone, iPad and Android is on its way to the App Store and Google Play. Until then, the full app works in your browser at mathfinch.com/app.
